Full Trailer: HBO’s “Dune: Prophecy”

Max and HBO have finally announced a confirmed November 17th premiere date for its prequel TV series “Dune: Prophecy”. The news broke during the panel for the series today at New York Comic Con.

In addition, a new full-length official trailer for the six-episode series has arrived. Based on the Frank Herbert novels, the story is set some 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides.

It follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.

The cast includes Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.

Alison Schapker serves as the showrunner and an executive producer while Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and also serves as an executive producer.

Anna Foerster directed multiple episodes and executive produces with Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, Jon Spaihts, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert.

The Hungary-shot series will have a theatrical premiere in New York City on October 30th. The two “Dune” movies by filmmaker Denis Villeneuve have together raked in north of $1.1 billion at the global box office. A third film based on “Dune Messiah” is in the works.
