Lucasfilm closed out its D23 presentation with a look at the upcoming “Willow” TV series with the big reveal being that Christian Slater has joined the cast of the series along with a new, darker full trailer you can see below.
Slater confirmed he got to ad lib and improv quite a bit during the show’s UK shoot. The project serves as the long-awaited follow-up to Ron Howard’s iconic 1980s fantasy feature “Willow”.
Warwick Davis and Joanne Whalley reprise their roles from the original in the new series which follows three young women who try to find Willow, the greatest sorcerer in the land, in an effort to rescue a princess’ twin brother.
Erin Kellyman, Ellie Bamber, Tony Revolori, Ruby Cruz, Amer Chadha-Patel, Dempsey Bryk and Talisa Garcia co-star. “Willow” will debut exclusively on Disney+ on November 30th.
