Paramount Pictures has released the full-length trailer and a series of character posters for “First Man” and “La La Land” director Damien Chazelle’s Hollywood epic “Babylon”.
A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in 1920s Hollywood as the industry undergoes a treacherous transition between silent and ‘talkie’ films.
Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva lead a packed cast that includes Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, Jean Smart, Max Minghella, Samara Weaving, Lukas Hass, Olivia Wilde, Spike Jones, Katherine Waterston, Lewis Tan, Flea, Eric Roberts, and Tobey Maguire.
The film already screened for critics to some wildly divisive reviews – some adoring it, others calling it the year’s worst. Either way, it certainly has people talking. The film is set for a wide release on December 23rd in the U.S. and January 19th in Australia.
