Apple and The Jim Henson Company have officially handed out a series order for a reboot of the classic muppet series “Fraggle Rock” to join Apple Originals’ lineup for kids and families.
This follows on from the “Fraggle Rock: Rock On!” shorts which recently debuted on Apple TV+ to great success. The new Fraggle Rock series will reunite the original stars – Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, Wembley, and Uncle Travelling Matt – for new songs and adventures, with the same spirit as the classic.
Showrunners Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson (“Community,” “New Girl”) are attached to executive produce and write while Lisa Henson, Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, John Tartaglia and Halle Stanford will executive produce.
