FOX has announced a new timeslot for the John Slattery-led fact-based thriller “NeXt” which has also premiered its first trailer today.
Hailing from “24” producer Manny Coto and executive producers and directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (“This Is Us”), the series deals with the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence that combines action with an examination of how technology is invading our lives and transforming us in ways we don’t yet understand.
Slattery plays a Silicon Valley pioneer, who discovers that one of his own creations – a powerful A.I. – might spell global catastrophe, and teams up with a cybercrime agent (Fernanda Andrade). Michael Mosley, Jason Butler Harner, Eve Harlow, Aaron Moten and Gerardo Celasco co-star.
The project will move to Tuesday nights in a minor shuffle of the network’s Fall schedule, kicking off on October 6th and taking over from “Filthy Rich” which will get a new date shortly.
