FOX has cancelled its music industry drama series “Monarch” after a single season.
Anna Friel, Trace Adkins, Joshua Sasse, Beth Ditto and Susan Sarandon starred in the series, which wrapped up its first season on Tuesday night.
The show follows the ‘first family of country music’ whose matriarch dies in the premiere.
Her husband attempts to keep the Monarch business afloat with the help of their two daughters and son, who all are hiding secrets of their own.
The series debuted with a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.8 million total viewers, FOX’s most-watched Fall scripted premiere in three years. However, it only averaged only 4.1 million multi-platform viewers across the eleven episodes.
