Fox 2000 is set turn Lauren Oliver’s recent teen sci-fi/romance novel “Delirium” into a feature reports Variety.
The story is set in a dystopian future where scientists have found a cure for ‘love’ which makes life much safer and less painful. The government has mandated that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen.
The action follows Lena Haloway, a seventeen year old girl three months away from her treatment who falls in love.
Paula Mazur and Mitch Kaplan will produce. The novel follows on from Oliver’s earlier work “Before I Fall” which Fox 2000 has already optioned.
