Four Set For “Life is Strange” TV Series

History

Tom Cullen (“House of the Dragon”), Leisha Hailey (“Bosch”), Raúl Castillo (“Looking”), and Owen Teague (“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”) are all set to star in Amazon Prime Video’s TV series adaptation of the acclaimed video game series “Life is Strange”.

The quartet join the previously announced leads Maisy Stella and Tatum Grace Hopkins. The project was first reported to be set up at Prime Video in September.

The story follows Max (Hopkins), a photography student, who discovers she can rewind time while saving the life of her childhood best friend, Chloe (Stella).

As she struggles to understand this new skill, the pair investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, uncovering a dark side to their town that will ultimately force them to make an impossible life or death choice that will impact them forever.

Teague will play the local drug dealer Frank Bowers, Cullen will play Max’s teacher Mark Jefferson, while Hailey and Castillo will play Joyce Price and David Madsen – the mother and stepfather of Chloe respectively.

The series was created by Charlie Covell, who also serves as executive producer and showrunner. Mackenzie Dohr will write and executive produce. Karyn Kusama will direct the first two episodes and executive produce.
