Focus Features has closed a deal for a feature-length adaptation of Jesse Atlas’ 11-minute Sundance short “Record/Play”.
The tragic love story deals with time travel achieved by manipulating a Walkman to transport the user to the source of a cassette recording.
Atlas and Aaron Wolfe will co-write the script with Atlas attached to direct. Richard Suckle will produce and Charles Roven is executive producing.
