“Creed II” breakout Florian Munteanu is in final talks to join Eli Roth-directed film adaptation of the “Borderlands” video game franchise at Lionsgate.
The 6’4, 235 lb former heavyweight boxer turned actor will play the musclebound Krieg – the rhetorically challenged protector of Tiny Tina.
He joins a cast that includes Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, and Jack Black as Claptrap in the film which has been penned by Craig Mazin.
Dark Horizons broke the news last year that Munteanu had a supporting role in Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” in which he plays the role of Razor Fist. That film opens later this year.
