“Little Women” and “Midsommar” star Florence Pugh will play the lead in the upcoming film adaptation of Nita Prose’s debut novel, the Agatha Christie-like murder mystery “The Maid” which is set up at Wink Pictures, Winterlight Pictures and Universal Pictures.
Pugh plays Molly, a maid who works at the Regency Grand Hotel – one who tidies up the guest’s messes and sweeps up their secrets.
Things take a suspenseful turn when she discovers an infamous wealthy guest, Mr. Black, dead in his bed and sets about to solve the truth surrounding his demise. Pugh, Josh McLaughlin and Chris Goldberg are producing.
Pugh will next be seen in Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow” and Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling”.
