Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea is reportedly set to star in the upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series for the Disney+ service.

StarWarsNews.Net reports that Flea will appear “wielding a cool-looking blaster” and implies he will either come into contact with Obi-Wan, or at the least feature in an episode beyond a mere cameo capacity.

While cameos and surprises have been teased for the highly anticipated upcoming series, the report notes that Flea will appear “wielding a cool-looking blaster.”

Flea, aka Michael Peter Balzary, has appeared in a variety of films over his career throughout his long career ranging from “Back to the Future Part II,” “My Own Private Idaho” and “The Big Lebowski” to more recent roles in “Baby Driver” and “Boy Erased”. This will mark his first official appearance in a “Star Wars” property.

McGregor reprises his iconic role as the Jedi master from the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy and will co-star with fellow returnees Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars.

Kumail Nanjiani, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Moses Ingram, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie and Maya Erskine co-star in the series which launches May 27th.
