British singer and dancer FKA Twigs will co-star alongside Bill Skarsgard in the reboot of the supernatural revenge thriller “The Crow”.
The story follows a man and his fiancee who are assaulted and killed by a gang after the couple’s car breaks down. The man is resurrected by a crow and exacts vengeance on those who took the pair’s lives.
Twigs will play the fiancee in a role that has reportedly been “re-conceived into a co-lead”. Rupert Sanders is directing the new take on the indie comic written and drawn by James O’Barr in the late 1980s which became the famed 1994 Alex Proyas-directed movie.
The reboot has seen numerous incarnations and close calls throughout years of development, but is finally on track to begin shooting this June in Prague and Munich. Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks and Edward R. Pressman are producing.
