Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds and Chloe Lea have all been cast in regular roles in the new “Dune: The Sisterhood” prequel series for HBO Max.
The new players join Emily Watson, Shirley Henderson and Indira Varma in the cast of the Legendary Television series set 10,000 years before the events of the films.
The show follows the Harkonnen Sisters (Watson and Henderson) as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit.
Boussnina will play Princess Ynez, Brune-Franklin is Fremen woman Mikaela, Cunningham is the fierce acolyte Sister Jen, Hinds is the fervently religious Sister Emeline, and Lea is the young and empathetic Lila.
Diane Ademu-John created the series and co-showruns with Alison Schapker. Johan Renck will direct the premiere episode and executive produce.
