The first trailer has arrived for “Poor Things,” “The Favorite” and “Killing of a Sacred Deer” director Yorgos Lanthimos’ new feature “Bugonia”.
In the eccentric black comedy, two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.
Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone star while Will Tracy (“The Menu”) pens the script.
This marks the latest re-teaming of Stone and Lanthimos following multiple collaborations, most recently with “Kinds of Kindness”.
The film is also an English-language remake of Jang Joon-hwan’s 2003 South Korean film “Save the Green Planet!”.
Lathimos, Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Ari Asterm Lars Knudsen, Miky Lee and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko produce the film which Universal Pictures will release in cinemas in October.
