Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation have released the trailer for “Wish Dragon” which will hit the streaming service on June 11th.
Din is a working-class college student with big dreams but small means, and Long, a cynical but all-powerful dragon capable of granting wishes, set off on an adventure through modern-day Shanghai in pursuit of Din’s long-lost childhood friend, Lina.
Their journey forces them to answer some of life’s biggest questions. The film stars Jimmy Wong as the voice of Din and John Cho as the dragon Long.
The project is the first film written and directed by “Coraline” illustrator Chris Appelhans and the second Sony Animation film to hit Netflix this year after “The Mitchells vs. the Machines”. Producers include Jackie Chan, Aron Warner and Chris Bremble.
“Wish Dragon” comes to Netflix on June 11th.
