Focus Features has premiered the official trailer for the Neil Jordan-directed suspense thriller “Greta” starring Chloe Grace Moretz (“Suspiria”) and Oscar nominee Isabelle Huppert (“Elle”).
Moretz plays a sweet, naive young woman trying to make it on her own in New York City who doesn’t think twice about returning the handbag she finds on the subway to its rightful owner, an eccentric and lonely French piano teacher named Greta (Isabelle Huppert).
Having recently lost her mother, Frances quickly grows closer to widowed Greta and the two become fast friends – but Greta’s maternal charms begin to dissolve and grow increasingly disturbing as Frances discovers that nothing in Greta’s life is what it seems.
Maika Monroe, Colm Feore and Karen Richards co-star in the film which was penned by Ray Wright and opens in cinemas March 1st.
