Sony Pictures has premiered the first trailer for the sequel to Fede Alvarez’s well-reviewed 2016 horror feature “Don’t Breathe” which made $157 million worldwide on a $10 million budget.
The story is set several years after the home invasion of the first movie, blind veteran Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) living in quiet solace with a new daughter figure (Madelyn Grace) – until his past sins catch up to him.
Alvarez helmed and co-wrote the original film with Rodo Sayagues. This time they swap with Sayagues making his directorial debut on the follow-up. Alvarez, Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce and the movie will open theatrically on August 13th.
