Lionsgate has premiered the first trailer for Aziz Ansari’s new comedy feature “Good Fortune” which stars Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen, Ansari, Keke Palmer and Sandra Oh.
In the story, a well-meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel (Reeves) meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Rogen) in Los Angeles.
Oh plays a fellow angel and Gabriel’s supervisor. Gabriel is seeking to stretch beyond his current duties which mostly consists of saving people from texting and driving.
“Master of None” star Ansari writes and directs the feature which was shot on location back in 2023. Ansari, Anthony Katagas, and Alan Yang all produce.
The film joins Lionsgate’s remaining 2025 slate which includes next week’s “John Wick” spin-off “Ballerina,” “Americana,” Stephen King adaptation “The Long Walk,” “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” and thriller “The Housemaid”.
