Some early rumors regarding Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us Part 3” has gone online via several online tweets and scooper DanielRPK (via Forbes and Screen Rant).
Naughty Dog has yet to announce a third entry in the game series, though this report suggests the game is due to start performance capture soon, with a casting call for some minor roles in the game allegedly out there.
The report indicates the casting call revolves around a sequence in the game in which a group of scavengers live on a city’s outskirts in a Victorian house being used as a base.
There are reportedly five new characters, with several in conflict over the group’s management – including a young woman, a former soldier, and an affable man who turns dark.
Apparently, no mention is made of Abby, though one scooper suggests Ellie is “at least as important” in this game as she was in the last. The report remains unconfirmed and thus pure rumor for now.
Despite controversy over some storytelling choices, “The Last of Us Part 2” was one of the most awarded and critically acclaimed games of all time and recently was revealed to have sold over 10 million copies.
Naughty Dog had been working on a standalone multiplayer title set in the universe until it recently released a statement that it was delaying said multiplayer title and would be working on it alongside a “brand new single-player experience”, which many believe to be “The Last of Us Part 3” (but that’s not confirmed).
