The first photos of Tom Holland on the set of Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” have gone up, the actor appearing in Glasgow to shoot scenes in costume both with and without his mask.
In set photos, the outfit has a slightly more handmade feel to it than in yesterday’s video issued by Sony, complete with much more visible and rudimentary web shooters. The suit’s colors come off much brighter and more saturated in the sunlight than in the dark soundstage in yesterday’s video.
The design definitely borrows heavily from the past suits worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” though the mask remains largely the same as before.
Set videos and photos galore are popping up of the filming with the sequence involving an armored tank being chased by a bunch of police cars. Holland’s stunt double was spotted yesterday doing the sequence, with Holland himself doing it today.
Scooper DanielRPK indicates that in the sequence, Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is the one in the tank and is trying to run a vehicle carrying Mac Gargan/Scorpion (Michael Mando) off the road.
Scorpion is one of several ‘street level’ villains expected to appear in the outing with others rumored to include Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang and Ramrod. It’s expected some of these will be mere cameos. Still no further word on if the Mister Negative as the main villain rumors are true.
