Filming is underway on “Inception” and “The Dark Knight” director Christopher Nolan’s World War II movie “Dunkirk”. Shot on location in France in the very place100,000 soldiers were evacuated from just over three-quarters of a century ago, the first set photos from the production have now gone online.
Nolan directs from his own original screenplay with a cast that includes Fionn Whitehead, Jack Lowden and Aneurin Barnard in key roles along with Harry Styles, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy in supporting roles.
The film, shot on a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large format film photography, is being released by Warners on July 21st 2017.
