The Cannes Film Festival officially kicks off tomorrow with plenty of high profile films in competition in the south of France. Today, one of its most anticipated titles has scored a one-sheet – Yorgos Lanthimos’ “The Killing Of A Sacred Deer”.
Coming from the absurdist likes of “The Lobster” and “Dogtooth,” this psychological thriller/revenge tale stars Colin Farrell as a charismatic surgeon forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life starts to fall apart when the behaviour of a teenage boy he has taken under his wing turns sinister.
Nicole Kidman co-stars in the film which opens on November 3rd.
