Lionsgate has premiered a poster for the Jason Statham-led action thriller “Mutiny” which opens in cinemas on August 21st. The one-sheet comes ahead of a trailer launching tomorrow.
Jean-François Richet (“Plane”) directs the film which follows Cole Reed (Statham), who, after seeing his billionaire industrialist boss murdered in front of him, is set up to take the fall for the crime.
He then goes on the run as he works to uncover an international conspiracy.
Danish actor Roland Møller (“Citadel”) plays the villain while Annabelle Wallis, Lee Charles, Jason Wong, Ben Cartwright, Adrian Lester and Arnas Fedaravicius co-star.
The project has been written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis with production taking place in the UK and Malta. Statham and Marc Butan produce the movie via their Punch Palace Productions and MadRiver Pictures banners.
Statham is coming off the success of “The Beekeeper” which pulled in $153 million worldwide gross against a $40 million budget. A sequel to that film is already on the way.
