Paramount Pictures has released the first official stills from “Prisoners” and “Sicario” director Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming sci-fi drama “Arrival” starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner.
Based on Ted Chiang’s 1998 novella ‘Story Of Your Life,’ the film follows a linguist brought in to help the government communicate with recently arrived extraterrestrials. Asked about the tone, Renner previously described it as “if you blended a [Stanley] Kubrick and a [Steven] Spielberg movie”.
The film is currently targeting a November 11th release and could serve as a potential awards contender for Paramount depending upon reviews.
