First Photos: Danny Boyle’s “Pistol”

The first photos are out from Danny Boyle’s new six-episode FX event series “Pistol” which has begun filming in London.

Based on guitarist Steve Jones’s memoir “Lonely Boy,” the series will capture the story of British anti-establishment musical icons The Sex Pistols who rose from West London’s public housing neighborhoods to world infamy and their album “Never Mind the Bollocks” frequently considered one of the most influential ever made.

Also today comes news that Thomas Brodie-Sangster (“The Queen’s Gambit”) and Talulah Riley (“Westworld”) have joined the cast as impresario Malcolm McLaren and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood respectively.

The series stars Toby Wallace as Steve Jones, Anson Boon as John Lydon, Louis Partridge as Sid Vicious and Jacob Slater as Paul Cook along with Maisie Williams, Dylan Llewellyn, Sydney Chandler, Emma Appleton, Christian Lees and Iris Law in supporting roles.

Craig Pearce and Frank Cottrell Boyce have penned the script for the series which will air on FX on Hulu in 2022.
