The IMAX prologue for Christopher Nolan’s new film “Tenet” is in cinemas now and the film’s true first trailer (not the bootlegged super early teaser from back in July) is expected online later this week.
Ahead of that, EW has done a cover story on the film and have included the first two official stills from the espionage thriller along with an interview with the director.
John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Kenneth Branagh co-star in the film which was shot in seven countries, his largest film to date “in terms of international reach” and adds that “there’s no question, it’s the most ambitious film we’ve made”.
Nolan goes on to talk about the tone, saying: “We’re jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we’re going to a number of different places. We’re crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way.”
Plot specifics are under wraps, but “Blackkklansman” star Washington is “very much the hero” of the film. “Tenet” opens in cinemas July 17th.
