FX has released the new title and first photos from “A Murder at the End of the World,” formerly known as “Retreat,” a new seven-episode mystery series launching via FX on Hulu in August.
Emma Corrin (“The Crown”) stars as Darby Hart, a Gen Z amateur sleuth who, along with eight other guests, is invited by a reclusive billionaire (Clive Owen) to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location.
When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use all of her skills to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interestsm before the killer takes another life.
Brit Marling, Harris Dickinson, Alice Braga, Joan Chen, Raúl Esparza, Jermaine Fowler, Ryan J. Haddad, Pegah Ferydoni, Javed Khan, Louis Cancelmi, Edoardo Ballerini, Britian Seibert, Christopher Gurr, Kellan Tetlow, Daniel Olson and Neal Huff co-star.
The series, which was filmed in Iceland, New Jersey and Utah, is created and directed by “The OA” and “Sound of Her Voice” duo Brit Marling & Zal Batmanglij.
The pair also executive produced alongside Andrea Sperling, Melanie Marnich and Nicki Paluga. The series was filmed in Iceland, New Jersey and Utah.
