An official first look of the cast in costume has been released for director Sam Mendes’ upcoming four-part Beatles film series at Sony Pictures.
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts used their social media account to reveal exclusive postcards for the four movies.
Both students and fans were set on a bounty hunt to find them around campus with the cards revealing costume test photos of Harris Dickinson’s John Lennon, Paul Mescal’s Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn’s George Harrison and Barry Keoghan’s Ringo Starr.
“The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event” will consist of an individual movie about each member of the band with Mendes helming all of them.
Each of the films will unfold from the perspective of the individual band members, but how it’s presented is unclear – the band’s history believed to be shown sequentially with each film also focusing on a different period, but that’s not confirmed at this time.
Also starring will be Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Harry Lloyd as George Martin, David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Leanne Best as Mimi Smith, Bobby Schofiled as Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill as Mal Evens, Arthur Darvill as Derek Taylor, and Adam Pally as Allen Klein.
All four films will be released in cinemas on April 7th 2028.
