An exclusive clip from the upcoming first “SpongeBob SquarePants” crossover special has gone online following its premiere at New York Comic Con earlier today.
“SpongeBob SquarePants Presents The Tidal Zone” will see the universes of three separate “SpongeBob” shows – the original “SpongeBob SquarePants,” the prequel “Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years,” and the spinoff “The Patrick Star Show” – all come together.
Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Jill Talley (Karen, Squidina) and Dana Snyder (GrandPat) will all lend their voices to the multidimensional madness with the official synopsis saying:
“A journey into an hour of television where two dimensions can become three, and French divers can wear black ties. Observe a tale of both comedy and caution, of satire and stupidity. Minds may switch, bodies may shrink, and robots may rise in…’The Tidal Zone.'”
The reveal comes hot on the heals of a recently announced pickup for a fourteenth season (of 26 episodes) of the original “SpongeBob SquarePants”. In addition to the currently airing three shows, three character-driven movies will be launching exclusively on Paramount+ and a fourth theatrical release from Nickelodeon Animation is currently in development.
“SpongeBob SquarePants Presents The Tidal Zone” will premiere Friday, November 25th on Nickelodeon and will air overseas in 2023.
