Action star Dwayne Johnson, after teasing the project at last year’s DC Fandome event, was on hand to premiere the first clip from the new DC live-action superhero film “Black Adam” from Warner Bros. Pictures to kick off this year’s DC Fandome.

Shooting on the project began back in April and post-production on the film just began so while there was no teaser trailer as such, there was a clip from the film’s early scenes.

The project was years in development with Johnson linked to play the role for much of that time. Jaume Collet-Serra helms the film from a screenplay written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshiryani.

Johnson is joined by the live-action film introduction of the Justice Society of America and co-stars include Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman along with Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Bodhi Sabongui and more.

“Black Adam” will open on July 29th 2022.
