Netflix has premiered the final trailer for Rian Johnson’s “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” the newest film in the director’s Benoit Blanc film series.
Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) returns for his most dangerous case yet in the third and darkest chapter of Rian Johnson’s murder mystery series and the last of the films under his deal with Netflix.
In the film, a priest gives a fiery sermon and then locks himself in a sealed stone chamber – no way in or out beyond the door he entered in full view of everyone. Thirty seconds later, he’s found dead in that box. How did he die?
Josh O’Connor plays a young priest who serves as Blanc’s aide in this outing. The all-star cast also includes Josh Brolin, Thomas Haden Church, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Jeremy Renner, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny and Kerry Washington.
The film launched to rave reviews on the festivsl circuit, pulling in excellent scores with many calling it the best of the series to date and widely lauded the performances by O’Connor and Close.
Johnson and Ram Bergman are producing with the film which will get a limited theatrical release on November 26th and will then hit the Netflix service on December 12th 2025.
