IFC Films has set a May 22nd digital and VOD release for the Steve Coogan-Rob Brydon comedy “The Trip to Greece” with the film’s official trailer also being released.
The project marks the third sequel in director Michael Winterbottom’s travel series and shows the duo retracing Odysseus’ footsteps in only six days with stops at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, the Ancient Agora of Athens, the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, the island of Hydra, the Caves of Diros and Niokastro Fortress in Pylos.
As per usual there’s gourmet meals, social commentary and impressions including Marlon Brando and Sean Connery. The project is the fourth in the series following 2010’s “The Trip,” 2014’s “The Trip to Italy,” and 2017’s “The Trip to Spain”.
