Final Trailer: “Killers of the Flower Moon”

Paramount Pictures

A third and final official trailer has been released for Martin Scorsese’s $200 million-budgeted epic period drama “Killers of the Flower Moon” which first premiered back in Cannes and is coming to cinemas next month.

At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight.

The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder.

Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), this epic western crime saga explores the line where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.

Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion also star.

Scorsese helms the 206-minute film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Eric Roth based on David Grann’s best-selling book. Scorsese, DiCaprio, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Daniel Lupi produce.

Scorsese recently spoke with Time Magazine for an extensive piece on the film and discussed the extensive rewrites which saw the perspective of the entire project shift and DiCaprio move to a different role than what he was cast in initially.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” gets a wide theatrical release through Paramount Pictures on October 20th ahead of streaming at a still unannounced date on Apple TV+.
