Filming has officially wrapped on A24’s “Friday the 13th” prequel series “Crystal Lake” with showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (“It: Welcome to Derry”) confirming the news on Instagram.
In his posting, Kane writes: “Crystal Lake wrap party was epic! I’m madly in love with and totally in awe of this stellar bunch of artists and humans. A fella couldn’t ask for a more talented and wonderful group of collaborators. S1 (almost sorta not quite) done and dusted. More please and thank you.”
Callum Vinson is playing a young Jason Voorhees in the series, with Linda Cardellini starring as Mrs. Voorhees. The eight-episode series will serve as an expanded prequel to the original 1980 slasher.
William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, Nick Cordileone, Danielle Kotch, Nancy Nagrant, Joy Suprano and Phoenix Parnevik all star.
Kane serves as creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Victor Miller, Michael Lennox, Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, and Tyson Bidner executive produce.
Michael Lennox (“Derry Girls”), Celine Held & Logan George (“Caddo Lake”), and Quyen Tran (“The Pitt”) direct episodes.
