The BBC has announced that production has officially started on the forthcoming twelfth season of “Doctor Who”. Jodie Whitaker returns as the show’s thirteenth doctor and first female incarnation of the Time Lord.
The eleventh season trio of companions – Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill – are all returning. Chris Chibnall took over as head writer and executive producer from Steven Moffat for the series.
The new season of the series isn’t expected to go to air until very early 2020.
