Apple TV+ has released the full trailer for the limited series “The Shrink Next Door” starring Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Kathryn Hahn and Casey Wilson.
The eight-episode dark comedy is inspired by true events and examines the bizarre dynamic that unfolds between soft-spoken New Yorker Martin ‘Marty’ Markowitz (Ferrell) and Dr. Isaac ‘Ike’ Herschkopf (Rudd), the psychiatrist who manipulates and exploits him for nearly three decades.
Dr. Ike is joined in infiltrating Marty’s life by his unsuspecting wife Bonnie (Wilson), and though Marty may be blind to the shrink’s abuses, his hard-headed sister Phyllis (Hahn) is not.
Multiple award-winner Georgia Pritchett (“Succession”) wrote the scripts for the series with Michael Showalter and Jesse Peretz directing. The series debuts on Apple TV+ on November 12th with the first three episodes. The remainder airs weekly through December 17th.
