“Ferrari,” “65,” “Paint” Set New Dates

Roadshow Films

Michael Mann’s “Ferrari” has yet to secure U.S. distribution, but today it has been announced that the film has been picked up by Sky Cinema in the UK and Roadshow Films in Australia.

The Sky Cinema news confirms the Adam Driver-led film will be released at some point in 2023 in the UK with a theatrical followed by a streaming release. Sky is also doing the same arrangement with Todd Haynes’ “May December” starring Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman.

“Ferrari” was produced by the now-defunct STX Entertainment which is why its U.S. release is stuck in a sort of limbo at present, not unlike Guy Ritchie’s “Operation Fortune” which has since opened overseas.

This is not the only Adam Driver-led film scoring some release news today. The sci-fi feature “65,” which sees Driver as an astronaut who crash lands in the prehistoric past, has been moved up a week and will now open on March 10th.

The film was set to debut March 17th opposite “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” but will now find itself competing with “Scream VI”.

Finally, IFC Films has moved up the theatrical release of the Owen Wilson-led “Paint” which will now open three weeks earlier on April 7th.

Wilson plays the very Bob Ross-esque Carl Nargle who is living his best days as Vermont’s number-one public TV painter. His life is thrown a curveball when the TV station hires a younger and better painter who immediately gives Nargle a run for his money.
