High Treason Prods. has begun production on the indie drama-thriller “Hurt,” starring Melora Walters, William Mapother, Sofia Vassilieva, Johanna Braddy, Jackson Rathbone and Ava Gaudet reports Variety.
Set in Arizona, “Hurt” follows a family as they grapple with the untimely death of the father and are forced to abandon their privileged lifestyle.
When they fulfill a promise by the father and take in a foster child, a series of tragic, inexplicable incidents befall them.
Directed by Barbara Stepansky, and co-written by Stepansky and Alison Lea Bingeman (“CSI: Miami”), a 2008 release is being eyed.
