HBO Documentary Films has given a green light for “Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes” a six-part half-hour docuseries which debuts with two back-to-back episodes Monday, July 12th on HBO and HBO Max.
The series is based on Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow’s interviews with whistleblowers, journalists, private investigators and other sources for his podcast and best-selling book about the Harvey Weinstein case and the systems that help cover up the terrible crimes to this day.
The docuseries boasts never-before-seen footage and new insights, weaving in additional sound and imagery from documents, audio tapes, photos, archive footage and illustrations.
The project hails from Emmy winners Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (“Carrie Fisher: Wishful Drinking”) who direct and produce. Farrow executive produces.
