Peter and Bobby Farrelly are set to produce a sequel to their 1996 bowling comedy “Kingpin” at Village Roadshow Pictures.

Slotted between 1994’s “Dumb and Dumber” and 1998’s “There’s Something About Mary,” Woody Harrelson starred in the original as bowling prodigy Roy Munson, who is tricked into joining a con job that leaves him with a crippled hand for the rest of his life.

Years later, a down-and-out Roy stumbles upon his ticket to fame and fortune when he discovers an Amish bowling phenom, Ishmael (Randy Quaid). Bill Murray, Vanessa Angel, Chris Elliott, Rob Moran and Lin Shaye all co-starred.

The project is in very early stages – no script is in place, no cast is attached, it’s even unclear if the Farrelly brothers will return to direct.
