“Fantastic Four” D23 Trailer Has New Shots?

Marvel Studios teased “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” during its panel at D23 Brazil yesterday, the project said to be in the final few weeks of filming.

At both Comic-Con in July and the U.S. D23 in August, the same two-minute pre-vis reel was shown only to the room – blending footage shot with the actors prior to the main shoot along with some rudimentary visual effects.

ComicBookMovie reports that the reel played out again at Brazil D23, but this time several shots have been replaced by what seems to be actual scenes from the film itself – most visible with Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm who boasts a different hairstyle to the pre-vis scenes.

In addition, some crowd shots have been switched out for more actual crowds and extras while some visual effects look a little more finished including the Baxter Building and a detailed version of Galactus that bears more of a likeness to its voice actor Ralph Ineson.

As with those other events, the trailer has again leaked online – this time via Reddit – and does generate speculation that Marvel will include a recut of it as the film’s teaser trailer once proper final shots are in place.

Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Julia Garner, John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser and Natasha Lyonne co-star in the film which opens July 25th 2025.
