It has been a busy few days for Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: The First Steps” film.

First up, photos from the production of the film have gone online. Some are set photos of Joseph Quinn in action as Johnny Storm, complete with the signature suit seen before.

Another photo shows off co-stars Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby in 1960s-style clothing in one of the sets which is complete with astronaut suits and bright colors.

That photo also includes a collection of Marvel Comics talent who’ve all contributed to the comic – C.B. Cebulski, David Bogart, Tom Brevoort, Alan Davis, Heather Davis, Chip Zdarsky, Dan Slott, Mark Bagley, Matt Fraction, Ryan North, Sara Pichelli and Tom DeFalco.

Then composer Michael Giacchino spoke with Brandon Davis about his theme for the film which was released back at D23. Explaining what he hoped to achieve with the piece, he says he aimed for it to:

“Have a sense of hope and optimism in a way that, quite frankly, no other Marvel movie has done yet. I kinda wanted this to feel like, ‘Oh, this is really just about a family that’s up against something really hard’. In the end, they live in this era of optimism, and hope, and discovery, and advancement in science and tech, and I thought it would be really fun to highlight that.”

Finally some Marvel artwork at NYCC has shown off a good look at the H.E.R.B.I.E. robot from the film with speculation currently being that “Poker Face” star Natasha Lyonne is voicing the character.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” opens in cinemas next Summer.
