“Falcon and the Winter Soldier” Series Delayed

Originally slated to air next month, it comes as little surprise that Marvel Studios and Disney+ have now apparently delayed the debut of the event series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.

That series follows the events of “Avengers: Endgame” as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities – and their patience.

According to The Wrap, the service is pushing the show from its planned August berth to an unknown date – likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a Puerto Rican earthquake during filming.

Disney+ just released its list of next month premieres and there’s no word as yet on a potential launch date. Production on the series halted in March with at least several days and possible weeks left to film with production having resumed in Prague earlier this month.

Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl co-star in the series.
