The release schedule is seeing a shake-up again today with Universal Pictures making the biggest moves.
First up “F9: The Fast Saga” is being delayed a month, the ninth “Fast & Furious” chapter is being moved from May 28th to June 25th.
That’s a lot smaller bump than Illumination’s animated prequel feature “Minions: The Rise of Gru” which is being pushed back a whole year from July 2nd 2021 to July 1st 2022.
They’re not the only ones making moves though. Netflix has finally set a premiere date for the Amy Adams-led “Woman in the Window” which will hit the service on May 14th, and locked down a June 18th premiere date for the Kevin Hart-led comedy “Fatherhood”.
Sony meanwhile has moved “Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway” up rather than back, bringing the bunnies forward by a month from June 11th to May 14th.
