A busy week of DC news caps off with one last story.
On Wednesday, actor Ezra Miller and their agent reportedly visited the Burbank lot of Warner Bros. Pictures for a meeting. According to THR, they met with new Warner Bros. film chairs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy to discuss “The Flash”.
Over the past two years, Miller has been at the center of arrests and controversy before a recent public apology and statement was issued on August 15th.
The trade today reports that Miller vowed to seek help after learning that De Luca and Abdy were considering all options for “The Flash,” including scrapping the $250 million movie if things devolved further with Miller.
Miller was reportedly spooked by the notion of the film getting cancelled as it’s a character they care about. The actor was reportedly apologetic in the meeting and affirmed their commitment to both getting care and to the production.
For now, it seems the plan is to stay on course for “The Flash” which is currently slated for June 23rd next year.
De Luca and Abdy took over running the Warner Bros. Discovery film division at the beginning of July and inherited a DC slate of movies in various stages of post-production.
Andy Muschietti directs the film, with composer Benjamin Wallfisch reportedly set to lead a scoring session for the project at Abbey Road Studios in London next week. Visual effects work is expected to be done by year’s end.
