Shayan Sobhian has been promoted to a series regular in his role as Zari’s hunky stoner bro Behrad Tarazi in the upcoming sixth season of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW.
Sobhian cameoed at the end of the fourth season finale due to a timeline change. He was recurring through the fifth season appearing in all but a few episodes in the second half of the season.
Co-showrunner Phil Klemmer tells EW that Behrad’s incorporation into the show was the thing he was most proud of in the fifth season: “Having Behrad come into the show and come into the show and pretending like the Legends knew him when the audience didn’t. That was a small bullseye [we had to hit].”
With the new season time will be allowed for the pair to exist as co-equal adult siblings and explore that relationship. With Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) no longer onboard the Waverider and Sara (Caity Lotz) abducted by aliens, the ship needs all the help it can get.
“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will return midseason in early 2021.
