SPOILER AHEAD FOR SEASON 2

END SPOILER

Series showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar say in a statement: “Eva Green has always brought an exhilarating, singular presence to the screen — elegant, haunting and beautifully unpredictable. Those qualities make her the perfect choice for Aunt Ophelia. We’re excited to see how she transforms the role and expands Wednesday’s world.”

Green is the first major addition announced for the third season and sees her reuniting with her “Dark Shadows” and “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” director Tim Burton.

Filming on the show’s third season was originally slated for this month but is now expected to get underway in February in Ireland ahead of a Summer 2027 debut.
