Filmmakers generally ask people not to spoil things before others have had a chance to see them.
Unfortunately with Marvel Studios holding its “Eternals” premiere two weeks ahead of the film’s actual release, the cat is now out of the bag on one key casting reveal in the film’s post-credits.
SPOILER AHEAD FOR “ETERNALS” END CREDITS
Matt Donnelly from Variety dropped the news which has subsequently been widely discussed and so, reluctantly, we have to report on it here.
We won’t go into details about the scene but can say that it reveals singer and “Dunkirk” actor Harry Styles makes his first appearance as Eros/Star Fox – the brother of Thanos.
Those spreading the news are claiming this isn’t a spoiler because Styles has been rumored to have a secret role in the film for months now and he was expected to pop up in the trailers.
How the character will fit into the wider MCU going forward isn’t clear at this time. Post-premiere reactions to the film itself have highly praised the film’s look, scope, and density with some saying it is the most ‘DC-style’ film of the MCU so far and its ‘most different’.
“Eternals” opens in cinemas on November 5th.
