A number of key release date updates today across a number of titles.
First up, AMC Theatres has announced that Takashi Yamazaki’s “Godzilla Minus One” will be returning to cinemas this summer on May 22nd. The re-release of the film comes six months ahead of the sequel, “Godzilla Minus Zero,” opening on November 6th.
Netflix has confirmed that “Enola Holmes 3” will arrive on July 1st 2026. Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill and Louis Partridge are all expected back for the film, which was shot last year.
Focus Features has locked in a September 11th 2026 release for Paul Greengrass’ historical drama “The Uprising” starring Andrew Garfield as the brutal King Richard II. Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller and Katherine Waterston co-star.
Sunrise Films and Rialto Distribution have jointly acquired psychological sci-fi near future thriller “April X” starring Connor Storrie and Lilly Krug. When April goes missing, Bax searches every dark corner of the post Soviet cityscape trying to find her, ultimately descending into madness.
Next, Universal Pictures has confirmed that the “Murder, She Wrote” movie, starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Jessica Fletcher, is now slated to open on February 4th 2028 – shifting back from a previously slated Christmas 2027 release.
Then, Paramount has locked in a February 11th 2028 release for “Heart Eyes 2,” the 2024 slasher-horror starring Mason Gooding and Olivia Hoult as co-workers mistaken for a couple by a killer who targets romantic partners on Valentine’s Day.
Finally some SVOD dates arriving very shortly have been set with Hulu locking in a May 7th streaming date for Sam Raimi’s “Send Help”, “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair” comes to Peacock on May 22nd, and the Jessica Chastain-led romantic thriller “Dreams” will stream on Starz from June 1st.
